Practical Classics Restoration and Classic Car Show 2023

TROC member Harry Beacall attended the NEC with his Triumph 1800 Town and Country Saloon YSK 489.

Over the course of the weekend, much interest was shown in the car and a number of visitors expressed an interest in joining the Club.

Sir John Black (1895-1965) was the driving force behind the Triumph Razoredge cars.  As managing Director of the Standard Motor Company, he had acquired the Triumph Motor Company in 1944. The “Triumph 1800 Town and Country”  was, in 1946,  the first saloon car produced under the new management.

A distinguished visitor to the stand at the NEC show was Charlotte, Sir John Black’s grand-daughter.
